Description
Pont Glyn-diffwys is a bridge constructed from local rubble stone. It features a single segmental arch that spans approximately 11 meters between rock abutments, with the soffit rising to about 18 meters above the water level. The arch is made of 50-centimeter deep rubble voussoirs that are slightly set in beneath a projecting regulating course. Above this, flush spandrels rise into a stone-coped parapet, which now has safety wires installed. The bridge measures 5.6 meters in width between its parallel sides, providing a level carriageway of 4.7 meters between the parapets, which slightly flare outward at the ends to finish in square piers.
