Description

The Cartshed/Granary at Pen-yfed is a Grade II listed building constructed of stone rubble, topped with a slate roof featuring cut slate clad verges. The structure has a two-bay cartshed on the ground floor, with a two-bay granary located above, which is accessed by external stone steps at the western end. There are deep timber lintels over the rectangular cartway openings. The granary has a boarded gable door and closely spaced timber lattice ventilation openings, which are near-square and positioned above the cart doors.

Inside, there is an open joisted floor above the cartshed, supported by a single central truss in the store.
