Description
Llwyn-y-saint is a two-storey building constructed from local shale rubble on large boulder foundations, topped with a slate roof. Originally designed with a two-room downhill plan, it has been extended into an 'L'-shaped layout that includes an attached stable at the upper end and a farm range at right angles at the lower end. The main living room features a boarded door and has nine and twelve-paned sash windows. The stable includes a stable door and a window above for a loft. An additional bay has been added to the east, likely serving as a parlour, and there is an upper floor within the roof, complete with a gable stack and nine-paned sashes. A raised gabled dormer is present on the west side, and there are two stone stacks topped with yellow clayware pots.
Inside, the main living room boasts a very large fireplace, which is boxed in with 19th-century boarding and has a gun shelf above it. The room also features large chamfered cross beams with cut stops.
