Description
Pont Rhyd-llefrith is a bridge built from local rubble stone. It features a single segmental arch that spans approximately 12 meters, with the soffit rising to about 3.7 meters above the water level. The arch is constructed from 63-centimeter deep rubble voussoirs that are set back under a projecting regulating course. Above this, flush spandrels extend up to a projecting string course, which is peaked at the center. This is topped by a flush stone-coped parapet. The width of the bridge between its parallel sides is 6.3 meters, providing a 5.4-meter wide hog-backed carriageway between the parapets, which curve outwards at the ends and terminate in square piers.
