Description
The churchyard wall, likely dating to the 17th century, is approximately 1.5 metres high and constructed from rounded river boulders set upon larger boulder foundations. The wall is topped with crenellated stones. It follows a broad curved line around the corner to the lychgate and then steps down to the north-west corner, continuing along the driveway to Ty'n Llan.
The lychgate, oriented west towards Gwindy, is a simple rubble-built gabled structure with side walls that return at both the front and back, supporting iron gates. It has a slated roof. The paired gates have square and dog rails, all topped with fluted conical finials and hinged at the bottom. Inside, the roof is a single purlin construction utilizing re-used timber, with a plastered soffit between limewashed rafters.
