Description

The Caernarfon Gates and Gate Piers to Amgueddfa Lloyd George are tall gate piers made of squared rubble. The piers feature offsetting top courses that create a rough cornice, topped with a step and tall urn finials. The wrought iron gates, produced by the Glaslyn Foundry in Portmadoc, include side panels and have top and locking rails, along with integral central cresting. In the center of the gates is a spread eagle within a wreath.
