Description

The former smithy at Glan Hafren is an 18th-century outbuilding range that includes a smithy on the right (east) and a lower cartshed on the left. It is constructed of rubble masonry. The smithy features a roof made of small old slates, which are heavily grouted and have stone coping, along with a reduced gable stack on the right (east) side that has dripstones. The cartshed now has a roof made of corrugated iron. The smithy has a door on the left (west) side and a small window within a partially blocked opening on its right. The cartshed has a wide doorway at the right (east) end. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
