Description
The former smithy is a building from the 18th century or early 19th century, constructed of stone rubble with a slate roof. It is a small square structure featuring an outshut with a catslide roof on the south side. The east elevation includes a window with a timber lintel and remnants of a small-paned casement, along with an entrance that has a pivoted door leading to the recessed outshut. There is a grindstone in a timber frame attached to the wall. The north elevation has a later lean-to shed, a lateral stack, and a window with remains of a sash. The west elevation features a gable-end stack and a window with a small-paned casement. Inside, there are two hearths and bellows.
