Description
Old Hall Farmhouse and Cottage are two houses dating from the 18th century. They are constructed of roughcast stone and topped with a slate roof. The buildings rise to three storeys and feature three bays. The windows are sashed with glazing bars; the first bay on the ground floor has paired sashes, while the second and third bays on the first floor have sashed windows without glazing bars and include horns. The entrance is located in the first bay. There are gable-end stacks and a cross-axial stack. The right side of the building has a two-storey wing with three bays adjacent to the gable end. The first bay of this wing has casement windows, while the other windows are sashed with glazing bars. There is a gable-end entrance. The rear of the building includes a re-entrant block and a 20th-century casement window, along with a cross-axial stack and a gable-end stack. Inside, there is a staircase featuring turned balusters, square newels, and a moulded handrail, along with some two-panel doors that have bolection moulding.
