Description
The schoolroom and stable range at Elim Chapel is a vernacular building dating from the 19th century. It is a two-storey structure with four window bays, positioned with its main entrance facing the chapel and chapel house to the north. The building is constructed of rubble masonry with a rough mortar finish. It features a slate roof, partly grouted, and has tall, narrow rectangular gable stacks, one of which on the right side is rendered.
On the ground floor, there are alternating window and door openings, each topped with slate lintels. There is also an enlarged window, which may have been a former doorway, located towards the right end. The first floor is fitted with six-pane sash windows that are placed directly under the eaves, and these windows have slate sills. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
