Description
Pont Henbont is an 18th-century road bridge that spans the Afon Alaw, marking the boundary between the parishes of Llanddeusant and Llantrisant. This somewhat hump-backed bridge is constructed of rubble masonry and features a central arch made of roughly dressed voussoirs, which are slightly recessed below the extrados course of narrow slabs. On either side of the bridge, there are square-headed flood channels that lead to each bankside. The northern side of the bridge includes an arched, rendered advanced course, and it is topped with a rough parapet.
