Description
The Cottage, located at 4 Sinclairs Street in Dunblane, is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, two-bay house with an asymmetrical gabled design. It is constructed from squared and snecked yellow sandstone, featuring ashlar margins and projecting cills on the windows.
On the principal elevation, there is a modern timber door on the ground floor to the left, accompanied by a letterbox fanlight and a window to the right. The upper storey has a regular arrangement of windows.
The rear elevation was not visible in 2001. The east side elevation is obscured by an adjoining building, as is the west side elevation, which also shows the gablehead and has barge boarding at the gable end eaves.
The house has four-pane, timber-framed, sash and case windows, a roof covered with grey slates and lead flashing, and cast-iron rainwater goods. There is a shared coped stack on the east side.
The interior was not seen in 2001.
