Description

Late 18th century, altered later 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay; semi-detached cottage, attic added later 19th century. Regular fenestration to principal (S) elevation with gabled dormers breaking-eaves. Principal elevation rendered to imitate ashlar with painted stone dressings; W elevation harled; rear (N) elevation red sandstone rubble. Base course and quoin strips.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: near-central entrance with chamfered and stopped reveals (replacement part-glazed door). Flanking windows to each floor (gables breaking-eaves to attic).

N ELEVATION: right corner chamfered at ground, corbelled to square above. Altered openings to ground floor. Small window to right of attic; flanking outer gabled dormers breaking-eaves.

W ELEVATION: blank skewed gable end.

Plate glass, timber sash and case windows to principal (S) elevation. Grey slate roof. Coped gablehead stack to W; round cans.

INTERIOR: largely modernised. Some early cornicing at ground.
