Bridge Mill

Bridge Mill is a mid-19th century, imposing four-storey former corn mill with three lower ancillary wings that form a T-plan. The building is constructed of whitewashed random rubble, featuring raised sandstone ashlar door and window margins, along with long and short quoins.

The mill itself has three bays and a fairly regular arrangement of windows across its four storeys, although some windows have been blocked up. The ancillary ranges are located to the north, east, and west of the mill. On the west elevation, there is a former first-floor loading door with an arched hood above.

The north range is a slightly lower two-bay former kiln that has a gabled head stack adjoining the mill. It features timber-boarded doors on both elevations at ground level. There is also a cottage adjoining the kiln, which has undergone extensive alterations in the 20th century.

The west range is two storeys high, with a slightly taller bay adjoining the mill. It includes a 20th-century full-height garage door on the north elevation and a timber-boarded door to the right, while the south elevation is unfenestrated. There is a ridge stack present.

The east range is also two storeys, featuring timber-boarded doors at ground and first floor on the north elevation.

The interior was not seen in 2004.
