8 Montgomerie Street, Girvan

8 Montgomerie Street in Girvan is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys tall and features three bays. The exterior is made of painted droved ashlar, accented with contrasting dressings and rusticated quoins. The central entrance is a round-arched door topped with an elaborately moulded stepped hoodmould. On either side of the door are tripartite windows. There is a band course that runs between the ground and first floor. The first floor has a central single light window flanked by outer bipartite windows. The building is finished with a cornice and blocking course, and it has end stacks with a piended slate roof.
