Description

16 Buccleuch Street in Dumfries is a mid-19th century building featuring two storeys and three bays. The exterior is made of droved red ashlar with polished dressings and architraves on the ground floor. The central entrance is a recessed door topped with a fanlight, while the outer bays have enlarged windows. A string course runs between the floors, and the first-floor windows are fitted with plate glass sashes. The building is topped with a cornice and a blocking course, and it has two small-paned piended square dormers, straight skews, and end stacks. The roof is covered with slate.
