Description
This is a 2-storey, 3-bay house located at 34 The Avenue in Girvan, built around 1860. The house is constructed of painted ashlar with contrasting dressings and quoins. It features a central door that is framed by a porch with fluted Roman Doric columns and pilasters. Above the door, there is a single window. To the right, there is a tripartite window arrangement on both the ground and first floors, with the ground floor featuring a bracketed cornice. On the left side, there is a 2-storey canted bay. The house has a modillion cornice and corniced end stacks, topped with a piended slate roof. Additionally, there are two pairs of gatepiers that have semi-circular upper panels and raised pyramidal caps.
