Novar, Harvey Square, Lochwinnoch

Novar is a mid-19th century, symmetrical, two-storey, three-bay house located in Harvey Square, Lochwinnoch. The building is constructed of painted ashlar. It features a central recessed segmental-headed door with a fanlight, which is flanked by two Roman Doric columns set in antis. Above the door, there is a consoled bracketed cornice and a window with panelled margins. The outer bays have two-storey canted windows, and there is a cill course at the first floor level.

The house has pilasters at the corners, an eaves course, a cornice, straight skews, end stacks, and a slate roof that is piended and finialed over the canted windows. On the south gable, there are painted coursers and two windows on each floor. The property is enclosed by a low parapet wall with a modern gate and fleur-de-lis cast iron railings.
