Description

Braehouse is an earlier 19th century, symmetrical, two-storey, three-bay house located on Port Street in Annan. The house features a recessed low bay on the north gable and is rendered to resemble ashlar, with contrasting painted ashlar margins. The central doorpiece, which is Ionic pilastered and pedimented, is likely a later addition. It includes a panelled door with a fanlight above, and a tripartite arrangement over the door with blind outer lights. The house has modern 12-pane pivot windows, an eaves and lintel band, a cornice, and end stacks. The roof is slate, with a blind window and a modern roof on the recessed bay.
