Description
The Albert Hall, located at 15 Port Street in Annan, is a warehouse built around 1870 that features classical architectural details. It consists of a two-storey main block with a lower range to the east. The north gable, which faces High Street, has three bays, and the west flank on the ground floor also has round-arched openings. The building is constructed from stugged red ashlar and includes long and short worked raised quoins, keystones, and impost blocks.
The north-facing entrance is wide, with a large window above it, and is adorned with a louvred quatrefoil and a ball finial. The west flank has seven bays with openings at both levels, and the windows feature small-paned glazing. Additional architectural elements include an eaves band, cornice, skews, and slate roofs. The lower range has a wide slapping in its north gable.
