Description
Scaurbank is a single-storey villa with an attic and a basement at the rear, built around 1840. The building has an L-plan layout and features a front with an open porch located in the re-entrant angle, supported by a single square monolithic column and a pilaster. The entrance includes a panelled door with a fanlight and sidelights. The exterior is constructed of droved red ashlar with polished dressings.
On the right side, there is an architraved bipartite window set in an advanced bay, along with three single window bays and a wide attic gable that is off-centre. The windows have small-paned glazing, and the building is topped with a cornice and a parapet. It has axial stacks with grouped octagonal flues and piended slate roofs.
The property is complemented by gatepiers with pedimented caps and a low boundary wall made from upright ashlar slabs.
