Description

Circa 1870. Asymmetrical 2-storey and attic villa, built on

slope and with basement to garden (W); wing adjoins N gable.

Stugged red ashlar with polished dressings and raised quoins;

mostly segmental or round-headed lights. Roadside (E) elevation

with advanced gable left, gabled porch in re-entrant angle,

panelled door with columned jambs and sidelights, all under

stepped hood-mould; square ground floor bay to right, and

small triangular attic dormer. 2 advanced gables to garden

corbelled to square above ground, and with original blind

boxes. End stacks with grouped square flues; slate roofs.

Set behind low wall with cast-iron railings; square piers;

gatepiers with projecting bell-cast caps.
