Description
Beechwood Bank is an asymmetrical villa built around 1870, featuring a complex roofline and Gothic details. The building has two storeys and an attic, situated on a slope with a basement facing the garden to the west. It is constructed of stugged red ashlar with polished dressings and includes some mullioned windows. The street-facing side has two advanced gables, with the door located in the narrower gable on the right, topped by a cusped-headed bipartite window. The garden elevation has two bays, with the left bay featuring a gable and the right bay topped with a gabled dormer. The roof has shaped skews with finials and gabletted skewputts, along with corniced end stacks that have corbelled chimney breasts above ground and grouped square flues. The property is enclosed by ashlar-coped rubble-built garden walls with square gatepiers.
