Description

Early 19th century. Single storey, L-plan cottage adjacent to Alloway Mill (see separate list description). Painted harled rubble. Painted margins to openings.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: glazed timber door to re-entrant angle porch; single window to right; 2 single and bipartite window to recessed bay; single window to right of gabled bay.

W (REAR) ELEVATION: 2 single windows to recessed section to outer left; blank gable to left; single window to larger adjacent gable; glazed timber door to right; 2 single windows to piended section to outer right.

N (SIDE) ELEVATION: 2 single windows to recessed section to left; bipartite window to advanced section to right; single window to recessed section to outer right.

S ELEVATION: not seen 1999.

Predominantly 9- and 12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; piended in part; coped gablehead stacks; circular cans. Grey slate roof; stone skews; coped gablehead stacks; circular cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
