Description
2 North Street in Duns is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey and attic, two-bay terraced house that originally included a shop at the ground level, which is now part of the house. The exterior features exposed rubble with a rendered ground floor and cement margins. At the center, there is a glazed door flanked by plate glass windows, with a band course above. On the first floor, there is a pair of windows, and a corbel to the left at lintel level that broadens the attic storey. The attic features a window at the center that breaks the eaves, topped by a gabled dormerhead with bargeboards and exposed rafters.
The windows are timber sash and case with four panes. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there is a brick chimney stack. The interior has been much altered.
