Description
32 Newtown Street in Duns is an early 19th century terraced house that incorporates earlier materials and has undergone later alterations. The building is irregular in shape, featuring two stories and three bays, with a shop located on the ground floor. The exterior is pebble-dashed.
The shop entrance is a glazed door located in the center, next to a plate glass shop window on the right. There are additional windows to the left and in each bay on the first floor. The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass.
The roof has a steep pitch with mutual skews, one of which on the west side is crowstepped and shows remnants of skewputt. The roof is covered with purple-grey slates, and there is an old red brick chimney stack.
The interior was not seen in 1993.
