Description

39 Newtown Street in Duns is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, two-bay terraced house. It is built from coursed stugged sandstone ashlar and features an eaves course, regular window arrangement, and polished margins. The modern door, located to the outer right, has a rectangular letterbox fanlight above it.

The rear elevation is irregular with two piend-roofed dormers. The house has timber sash and case windows with 12 panes. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar coped eaves and a rendered stack.
