Description
This mid 19th century, two-storey, three-bay terraced house is located at 33 Newtown Street in Duns. The building features a ground-level arched pend and is constructed of stugged cream sandstone ashlar, with the ground floor rendered. The front has a regular arrangement of windows, with a flush-panelled door positioned centrally on the ground floor, a window to the right, and the pend to the left. The rear elevation is harled and largely hidden by the adjoining stables of No 29 Newtown Street. Above the pend, there are two small windows and a pair of piend-roofed dormers. The house is fitted with 12-pane timber sash and case windows, has a roof covered in grey slates, and includes brick chimney stacks.
