Description
5 Castle Street in Kirkcudbright is an early 19th-century terraced house that includes a shop on the ground floor. The building is two stories tall with an attic and features three bays. It is constructed of painted rubble with margins. The entrance is located in the left and center bays, with a pend that is shared with the adjacent property, No 3, at the extreme left. On the right side, there is a modern small-paned shop window. The first floor has three 12-pane sash windows. There are also two later, unfortunately designed piended, canted dormers. The roof is made of slate.
