Description

7 Castle Street in Kirkcudbright is a terraced house built around 1820. It has two storeys above a basement and features three bays. The ground floor is finished in rusticated ashlar, while the upper floors are polished and painted. The entrance is highlighted by a Roman Doric doorpiece with a blocking course, and there is a pend at the far right. All windows have margins and 12-pane sashes, with the ground floor windows featuring hoodmoulds. The building has an eaves course and cornice, with modern brick stacks at the ends. The roof is covered in slate.
