Description
4 and 6 St Cuthbert Street in Kirkcudbright are late 19th-century shop premises that stand two stories tall and feature five bays. The building is constructed of polished red sandstone. The shop front is pilastered, although one pilaster is missing, and it includes a frieze and a dentilled cornice. The first floor has pilastraded bays, each bay containing a large bipartite window. The design incorporates composite order pilasters, along with a frieze, a main cornice, and a blocking course.
