17 Castle Street in Kirkcudbright is a late 18th century terraced house that stands two stories high with an attic and features three bays. The exterior is made of painted rubble with margins. It has a central door flanked by modern shop windows, and on the first floor, there are three 12-pane sash windows. The house also includes a central piended dormer, brick stacks, and a slate roof.
