Description
6A-7 Golden Square in Duns is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay terraced house that includes a shop on the ground floor. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings, and the render has been removed. It features a base course and a lintel course at ground level.
On the ground floor, there is a three-bay shop to the left, which has a central two-leaf panelled door flanked by 19th-century plate glass shop windows. To the right, there is a panelled door that leads to the flats above. Each bay on the first floor has a window, positioned hard under the eaves. At the rear, there is a projecting range.
The windows are timber sash and case, with a six-pane upper sash and a two-pane lower sash. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are brick stacks with ashlar coped skews.
