Description
30, 32, 34, and 36 Princes Street in Perth is an early 19th century three-storey tenement building with seven bays. It features a pilastered timber fascia and a dentiled cornice at the ground level, which was formerly a public house. The building is constructed of painted ashlar and has a cill course on the first floor, along with a moulded cornice at the eaves. The first and second floors have alternating blind window openings.
At the center, there is a two-leaf timber panelled door, flanked by an asymmetrical arrangement of 'Tuscan' style pilasters between plate glass windows. A further timber door is located to the far right, providing access to the flats above. A glass corridor connects the north side elevation to St John the Baptist Episcopal Church.
The windows are timber sash and case with 12-pane glazing, while the ground floor features plate glass. The roof is slate, with a broad brick end stack, clay cans, and cast-iron rainwater goods.
