Tenement, 17, 19, 21 Speygate, Perth

This tenement building, located at 17, 19, and 21 Speygate in Perth, dates back to 1802. It is a three-storey structure with an attic and features six bays that are roughly symmetrical. The ground floor bays are divided by white-painted pilasters and constructed from droved ashlar with raised cills. There is a base course, and the eaves course is interrupted by a two-window, truncated chimney gablet at the center. The doorway is offset to the center on the ground floor, with a blind opening at the fifth bay. A full-height stair outshot is located at the center rear of the building.

The windows predominantly feature 12-pane double-glazing in horned timber sash and case styles, with some 16-pane glazing found on the ground floor. The roof is covered in grey slate, with coped skews and skewputs on the south gable. The building has broad end stacks with tall clay cans. There are also a pair of slightly set-back piended dormers, which are of more recent construction and feature a 12-pane glazing pattern.
