Description

Circa 1775; later 19th century alterations at ground. 3-storey and attic, 7-bay tenement, built on ground falling to N (rear). Coursed rubble. At centre, doorway to common stair, flanked by 3-bay shop to right with modern canted glazing, and later 19th century corniced rendered public bar to left with arcaded central tripartite window flanked by arched doorways . Pair of tripartite piend-roofed dormers.

Irregular 4-storey 4-bay rear elevation; 2 central bays gabled with apex stack.

Timber sash and case 12-pane windows. Ashlar coped skews; stone stacks, rebuilt to W, harled to E; grey slates.

INTERIOR: not seen 1995.

BOUNDARY WALLS: coped rubble screen wall to rear area.
