Description
This building, located at 159 and 161 Rose Street in Edinburgh, dates from around 1780. It is a three-storey and attic tenement featuring seven bays, with a shop and bar on the ground floor flanking a common stair door. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble with droved ashlar and band courses at the ground level. On the eastern side, there are a pair of tripartite dormers, while the western side has two earlier piend-roofed dormers, one of which is tripartite and located on the left. The building has 12-pane timber sash and case windows and is topped with grey slates. The interior was not seen in 1995.
