Description
The building at 184, 186, and 188 Rose Street in Edinburgh dates from around 1790 and has undergone later alterations. It is a three-storey and attic tenement with six bays, featuring two shops at the ground level that flank a common stair door. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble and includes four broad modern piend-roofed dormers. The rear elevation is four storeys high and also made of rubble. The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case, with the central windows divided by timber mullions. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are rendered stacks. The interior was not seen in 1995.
