Description
172, 174, 176 Rose Street in Edinburgh is a tenement building dating from around 1790, with later alterations. It stands three storeys high with an attic and features four bays. At the ground level, there are two shops flanking the entrance to a common stair. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble and includes three piend-roofed dormers. The rear elevation is four storeys tall with three bays, also made of rubble. The building has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, although there are two uPVC replacements on the first floor. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are rendered stacks. The interior was not seen in 1995.
