Description
33 Thistle Street in Edinburgh is a tenement building dating from around 1775. It is an irregular structure with three storeys and an attic, featuring three bays and built on sloping ground that falls to the north at the rear. The exterior is made of coursed rubble stone, which has been cleaned. The central doorway is flanked by two bays on the right and one bay on the left, with a cill course at the first floor level. There is a large tripartite dormer with a piend roof.
The rear elevation is also irregular, rising four storeys and featuring three bays, with a heightened stair bay on the left side. The windows are timber sash and case, with 12 panes each. The building has a harled stack on the west side and is covered with grey slates.
Inside, the space has been refurbished into an open plan layout.
