25 Thistle Street, Edinburgh

25 Thistle Street in Edinburgh is a classical tenement building dating from around 1825, with later alterations. It stands four stories tall and has five bays, featuring shops at the ground level on a corner site. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble with dressed stone details, while the ground floor is rendered. The center bays are grouped together, and there are cill courses at the first and third floors. At the ground level, there is a common stair door in the center and a pair of two-bay shops to the right, which retain their original stone pilasters and cornice. To the left, there is a three-bay public bar with plate glass windows. The building has a three-bay return with two wallhead stacks, and the upper floors of the right bay are blank.

The windows are timber sash and case, featuring a variety of glazing styles. The roof is piended, covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar stacks. The interior was not seen in 1995.
