Description

Circa 1775. 3-storey basement and attic, 5-bay tenement with shops at ground, built on ground falling to N (rear). Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. At centre ground, round-headed doorway with architrave, keystone and metal gate leads to common stair; 2-bay rendered and stone corniced shop to left; 2 rendered bays to right part of adjoining public bar (see separate listing - No 55). Pair of piend-roofed tripartite dormers.

5-storey 4-bay rear elevation, with garage doors created at ground.

Timber sash and case 12-pane windows; plate glass to shops. Ashlar coped skews; rebuilt stone stacks, brick to rear; grey slates.
