Warehouse And Garages, Thistle Street South West Lane, Edinburgh

This building is a late 18th century warehouse and garages located on Thistle Street South West Lane in Edinburgh. It is a three-storey and attic, three-bay tenement featuring a shop at the ground level. The exterior is made of coursed rubble sandstone. The ground floor shop has four bays with enlarged plate glass windows and a door positioned to the centre right, which has been stone cleaned. The second floor is blank in the centre, and there is a large bipartite piend-roofed slate-hung dormer on the left side.

At the rear, there is an irregular two-bay rubble gable that rises to four storeys, with a door providing access to the upper floors on the right side. Adjoining this is a small two-storey warehouse with garages at the ground level and loading doors above.

The building features timber sash and case 12-pane windows, ashlar coped skews, grey slates, and rendered and rebuilt stacks. The interior was not seen in 1995.
