52 Princes Street in Perth is a small, two-storey, three-bay commercial building dating from 1866, designed in a Renaissance style. The main façade is finished in painted ashlar, while the sides are constructed from rubble. On the ground floor, there is a two-leaf timber door flanked by plate glass windows, all of which are topped with basket arches that are now covered by a later fascia. The outer ends of the building feature pilasters with twin consoles and rounded pediment heads, connected by a projecting cornice.

The first floor has a cill course and round-arched windows that are framed in pilastered architraves with moulded keystones, accompanied by additional flanking pilasters. The building has a projecting bracketed eaves cornice, a balustraded parapet, and a central panel with a pediment. The first-floor round-arched windows have a distinctive margined glazing pattern. The roof is piended and covered with grey slate, and the rainwater goods are concealed.
