Description

The East Lodge Gates and Gatepiers at Errol Park were likely designed by Alexander Johnston between 1875 and 1877. They feature square-section ashlar gatepiers topped with pyramidally-coped caps and have chamfered edges. The entrance includes two-leaf decorative ironwork gates, with additional pedestrian openings that also have gates, an ashlar cornice, and shell detailing. Beyond these, there are further piers that lead to low saddleback-coped quadrants, which are complemented by inset railings and outer piers.
