Description

18th century with later alterations. 2-storey and attic, 2-bay, near square-plan crowstepped gabled house abutting 6 Clay Loan (listed separately) to left (S) with forestair to rear entrance. Harled.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set modern timber panelled door at ground in bay to left of centre; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in bay to right.

N (SIDE) ELEVATION: attic window to each side of gable; gablehead stack above.

W (REAR) ELEVATION: forestair to deepset door in bay to right at 1st floor. Window in bay to left at 1st floor.

12-pane timber sash and case windows; rooflight to E pitch. Replaced grey slate roof; stone ridge; harled, cornice gablehead stack to N; similar ridge stack to S; predominantly cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1998.

BOUNDARY WALLS: harled, coped wall to right of main elevation.
