Description

late 18th to early 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, crowstepped-gabled house with gabled end to street, built on ground falling to N. Harled. 1st floor window set close under eaves.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set timber door at ground in bay to centre. Window at each floor in bays flanking.

E (SCHOOL PLACE) ELEVATION: window at each floor to left of centre; gablehead stack above.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: small window at ground in bay to centre; non-aligned window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in bay to right. Window at ground in bay to left.

Timber-framed windows with top-hung upper lights. Graded grey slate roof; stone ridge; harled corniced gablehead stacks to E and W; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1998.

BOUNDARY WALLS: tall, harled walls enclosing rectangular-plan garden to S.
