Description
10 School Place is a late 18th to early 19th century cottage that has undergone later alterations. It is a single-storey, three-bay, rectangular-plan structure with a symmetrical crowstep gable, located at the southern end of a small terrace on rising ground.
The west elevation, which is the principal facade, features a modern part-glazed door with a letterbox fanlight in the central bay, flanked by a window in each of the side bays. The south elevation is blank, with a gablehead stack above. The north elevation adjoins Number 8, which is listed separately.
The cottage has uPVC windows with top-hung upper lights, a grey tiled roof with a stone ridge, harled corniced gablehead, and mutual ridge stacks, along with uPVC rainwater goods. The interior was not seen in 1998.
