Description
58 Harbour Street in Irvine is an early 19th-century, two-storey house with a three-bay rectangular plan. It is constructed from squared and snecked sandstone, with some parts in rubble and others with a tooled finish. The exterior is painted and features plain margins and quoin strips.
The northwest elevation, which is the principal facade, has a central doorway flanked by windows on both the ground and first floors. The first-floor windows are slightly closer to the center. The northeast elevation is attached to No 56, while the southwest elevation is now attached to No 60.
The house has 12-pane timber windows on the ground floor, with modern windows on the first floor. The roof is covered in grey/green slates, and there is a stone skew on the southwest side, along with a rendered gablehead stack on the southwest and a harled ridge stack on the party wall with No 56.
The interior was not seen in 1997.
