Description
40 Burrell Street in Crieff is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house. It features a corniced and pilastered doorway, constructed from squared and snecked rubble with painted margins and lined pointing.
The northwest elevation is symmetrical, showcasing a part-glazed timber door with a timber-blocked fanlight at the center on the ground floor. There are windows in the flanking bays and regular fenestration close to the eaves on the first floor.
The southwest elevation has a gabled design with a window to the left on the first floor.
On the northeast elevation, which faces Union Terrace, there is a gabled bay to the right with a window on each floor at the outer right. To the left, there is a lower, slightly set-back bay with an altered door to the right and two large modern rooflights.
The windows are timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The house is topped with graded grey slates and features coped ashlar stacks with thackstanes and some cans.
